Lecturer
Winnie has been a Hospitality and Tourism Lecturer since 2016. She has 18 years of experience in hospitality and tourism including being a consultant specializing in Forensics Accounting for owners of independent hotels and branded properties. She has written for the National Park Service Heritage Education Travel website, conducted tourism research for major destinations, and developed hospitality materials for companies and tourism organizations in the U.S. and internationally.
She has a Master of Tourism Administration degree from The George Washington University with a concentration in Sustainable Destination Management. She also holds a Strategic Management Certification from Cornell University and a Certification of Specialization in Accounting and Financial Management from the American Hotel & Motel Association, Educational Institute.
Prior to working as a consultant, she held various positions in the hotel. In her hospitality tenure, she held positions across Sales & Marketing, Front Office, Accounting management, Revenue management, and Operations. She also implemented Total Quality Control (TQM) and led the hotel in winning Best Hospitality award!
Winnie taught Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism, Career and Customer Services, Hospitality Law, Meeting Convention Management, Housekeeping Operations, Hospitality Marketing, Front Office Operations, and Hospitality Capstone.
She is a strong believer in life-long learning.
